For 45 years, Gail has been a teacher, helping all kinds of students—from first graders to kids with special talents and different learning styles. My Story – Gail’s Journey of Purpose and Passion
For over 45 years, Gail dedicated her life to one of the noblest callings—education. Not merely a career, but a true passion that guided her every step. From teaching gifted students in grades K–8 to empowering learners with disabilities, Gail poured her heart into helping children realize their potential. She taught subjects ranging from English Language Arts to physical and life sciences, and even served as a Director of Special Education. No matter the role, one truth remained constant—Gail believed teaching was her purpose, not just her profession.
Throughout her journey, Gail earned numerous honors that reflect her deep commitment and extraordinary impact, including Arizona’s Gifted Teacher of the Year, Yavapai County Teacher of the Year, and multiple accolades from Buckeye Elementary School. But for Gail, the true reward was always the growth she witnessed in her students. She often reminded them—and everyone she met—with her favorite words of wisdom: “Your decisions determine your destiny. Make wise choices!”
Outside the classroom, Gail finds joy and peace in nature. Whether she’s hiking, snowmobiling, fishing, 4-wheeling, horseback riding, or white-water rafting, her adventurous spirit thrives in the great outdoors, surrounded by God’s majestic creations.
A lifelong lover of books, Gail always dreamed of writing one herself, especially a story that could make a difference in the lives of children. After mentoring countless incredible students over the years, she felt inspired to share a message of inclusion and empowerment. Her debut children’s book, A Purpose for Patches, shines a light on para-abilities and neurodiversity with warmth, empathy, and hope. It is the beginning of what promises to be a powerful literary journey.
Gail’s story is one of heart, dedication, and purpose—a legacy built on love for learning and belief in the limitless potential of every child.
